Valentine’s day was yesterday, but if you’re still needing a little more beauty and love in your life, look no further! I had the privilege of working with Kate and John for their wedding and engagement photography. I am so excited to share some highlights from their wedding earlier this month! John and Kate were married at their home church, Queen of Peace. Then they celebrated with a reception at Mission Mill (Willamette Heritage Center,) in Salem, Oregon!
Kate put together a wedding with such beautiful, classic style. Ali Briskey created stunning florals for both the ceremony and reception, and I loved getting to work with her again! I absolutely adored the romantic, wintery bridesmaid style in this wedding! The berry colored gowns from BHLDN had the perfect amount of warmth and detailing, and looked so lovely paired with the fur wraps that the bride made herself! (Can you even believe it?) Kate’s impeccable hair and makeup was done by Catelyn Chism of Blossom & Beauty and just highlighted her natural beauty so perfectly!
This wedding day was full of sweet moments. John’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time during their first look was too precious for words. During the reception, Kate’s made of honor sang a song with her boyfriend, dedicated to the newlyweds. The whole crowed of friends and family were so kind and genuine. It was absolutely clear that this union is full of love, support, and celebration from all sides. I’m so excited to see what the future has in store for these two!
