Amy + David | Postlewait’s Country Weddings | Portland, Oregon Wedding Photography

Amy & David. Oh, so much to say about this wonderful couple! I knew from my first meeting with Amy, that she and David were a special couple, and that their wedding would be so fun and special, and wow – that’s just what it was! Amy is so kind, lively, warm, and genuine. David is such a great compliment to her! Friendly, inviting, selfless, (which shows through all he does, including his commitment to the Navy.) Together, they really are wonderful at making anyone feel comfortable and cared about. Amazingly, they’re surrounded by incredible friends and family who are that way, too! Amy’s bridesmaids asked my second shooter and I throughout the day how we were doing, and if we needed anything. We couldn’t believe their kindness and thoughtfulness!

This wedding was such a celebration. Emotional in all the best ways – even Emily, my second shooter that day, and I reminisce on the tears we cried behind our cameras during the many touching moments throughout the day. One of my favorite details of this wedding were the Free People bridesmaid dresses, in such a fun and lively color. The florals by Megan Jacob were lush and lovely, and the setting at Postlewait’s was the perfect backdrop for this celebration.

After the touching ceremony, Amy and David had fun with their closest friends and family at the reception. I’ll never forget the father-daughter dance at this one. Amy’s sweet dad created a mash-up of songs, and proceeded to switch between dancing with Amy, to dancing with her mother, to whipping out a harmonica for a little solo breakdown during one of the songs, and even had poster-board lyric signs created, so that the whole audience could sing along to “Isn’t She Lovely?” by Stevie Wonder. Oh my word – it was the perfect storm to get people laughing out loud, and crying from the sweetness of it all.

Needless to say, this wedding was one for the books, that I definitely won’t soon forget. So thankful to have been a part of this special couple’s day!

Hi, I'm Kelsee!

I love telling stories through my images, creating heirlooms, and creating photos that help you remember for years to come, what things felt like, not just what they looked like.

What story do you want to remember?
